Academic Classes:
Grade 12 PSK 4UI: Exercise Science
This course focuses on the study of human movement and of systems, factors, and principles involved in human development. Students will learn about the effects of physical activity on health and performance, the evolution of physical activity and sports, and the factors that influence an individual’s participation in physical activity. The course prepares students for university & college programs in physical education, kinesiology, health sciences, nursing, sports & massage therapy, medicine, research, bio-engineering and teaching.
Class will include lecture style teaching, group activities, independent learning and well as activity sessions that apply the theoretical concepts in a practical way. Usually these classes will require proper athletic attire. Within the course evaluation there is also a chance for student led activity.

Grade 12 Choose 2 Lead Leadership Class: Course Resources
This course focuses on the development of leadership and coordination skills related to recreational activities. Students will acquire the knowledge and skills required to plan, organize, and implement recreational events. They will also learn how to promote the value of physical fitness, personal well-being, and personal safety to others through mentoring. The course will prepare students for college programs in recreational, leisure, and fitness leadership.
Students will complete a variety of leadership activities for a variety of individuals, and groups within the community. The students will also have the option to participate in a 'Gold Level Adventurous Journey' canoe trip for their Duke of Edinburgh's 'Gold ' certification.

Duke of Edinburgh Award:
